Arminaceans in which the digitiform latero-dorsal ceratal processes continue around the frontal margin of the head and contain tributaries of the digestive gland. The radular formula is n .1.n (n = 20 or more). The anal papilla is postero-dorsal. A sensory caruncle between the rhinophore bases may be present (Janolus ) or absent (Proctonotus ).
