Small round shells, thin and generally rather fragile. Equivalve; equilateral or just inequilateral. Ligament internal. Hinge with one cardinal tooth centrally, and with anterior and posterior lateral teeth. Adductor scars about equal. Pallial line indistinct, without sinus.
