Shell and operculum absent. Cephalic shield united with the mantle, lacking tentacular processes; parapodial lobes vestigial; body-shape simple, smooth, elongated, without projections, usually less than 3 mm long, living in the interstices of sand and gravel. Gill absent.
Gizzard plates absent; radula 3.0.3; anal and renal openings mid-posterior.
