Shell reduced or absent; operculum absent.
Cephalic shield united with the mantle, lacking tentacular processes; parapodial lobes lacking; body-shape simple, smooth, elongated, without projections (other than the gills which are situated beneath the postero-lateral border of the mantle on the right side), usually less than 6 mm long, living in coralline rock-pools in the littoral zone.
Gizzard with four equal plates. Radula n .1.n , where n = 1 or 2.
