Shell diameter greatest in the middle, unable to accommodate the animal during defensive retraction; aperture longer than the spire.
Cephalic shield approximately quadrangular, without tentacular processes; parapodial lobes conspicuous, but concealing the shell antero-laterally only; external posterior pallial lobe inconspicuous; penis hammer-shaped, bearing conical excrescences; gizzard-plates two large and one small; radula 1. 1. 1.
