Description (shell):
Shell thin and fragile, umbones situated close to posterior end. Elongate, almost rectangular in outline, Posterior margin with narrow gape. No hinge teeth. Sculpture of fine concentric lines, growth stages clear.
Size:
Up to 5 mm long.
Colour:
White, translucent, with pale brown tints, periostracum thin, light brown.
Habitat:
Lives attached to the holothurian Leptosynapta.
Distribution:
Recorded from Salcombe, Falmouth and Shetland on Leptosynapta inhaerens and from Cullercoats on Leptosynapta bergensis (Distr. D. perrieri).
