Shell equivalve, inequilateral, triangular; gaping posteriorly and along antero-ventral margin. Numerous close-packed ridges, beneath umbones at anterior end of shell, but no hinge teeth. Anterior adductor scar small, close to the umbones; posterior larger, close to the middle of shell.
