Body either uniformly cylindrical or sometimes with a tail-like posterior. The foot-shield is undivided and surrounds the mouth. The radula is much reduced and consists of only one transverse row of real teeth if not completely reduced and lacking. One or two pairs of cuticular lateral supports and a large basal plate; some further, less obvious, cuticular strengthening may be present. The digestive midgut gland is well developed.
