Shell external (Diaphana ) or internal (Colpodaspis ), frail and colourless; several whorls; shell-length 1.5-2 times the breadth; aperture approximately as long as the spire; operculum absent.
Cephalic shield bearing a pair of antero-lateral tentacular processes. Parapodial lobes not developed. External posterior pallial lobe conspicuous (Colpodaspis ) or inconspicuous (Diaphana ).
Gizzard plates absent. Radula 1. 1. 1 (Diaphana ) or 2.1.0.1.2 (Colpodaspis ).
