Shell elongated, cylindrical, able to accommodate most of the animal during defensive retraction; aperture similar to the spire in length.
Cephalic shield bearing rounded or pointed postero-lateral tentacular processes; parapodial lobes absent or inconspicuous; external posterior pallial lobe inconspicuous when the animal is seen from above; penis not hammer-shaped; three gizzard plates; radula 2-5.1.1.1.2-5.
