Minute white or colourless shells with three to four tumid and rapidly expanding whorls; often with sculpture of fine spiral striae, though this may be confined to basal areas of last whorl. Aperture with distinct peristome; umbilicus wide. Protoconch smooth, inflated, and without pointed tip. Foot with three pairs of epipodial tentacles, operculum polygyrous.
