Genus Facelina

Alder & Hancock, 1855

The head bears long, mobile oral tentacles, and rhinophores which are lamellate, rarely tuberculate or smooth. The cerata are grouped into distinct clusters, each consisting of numerous rows.
The right liver and all the subdivisions of the left liver are much branched. The nephropoct lies in the inter-hepatic space, closely anterior to the foremost branch of the second ceratal group.
The penis usually bears elevated chitinous hooked spines, rarely absent; an accessory penial sheath gland is often present.
