Animals with a short, sometimes blunt, body and often with a ventral suture. The foot-shield is homogeneous, post-oral in position and may be divided or paired. The radula is large, bipartite and bears several transverse rows of often denticulated teeth; there are no additional cuticular supports. The digestive midgut gland is well-developed.
