Genus Pseudamussium

Mørch, 1853

Shell thin, subtranslucent, as high as wide. Valves inequilateral, right valve slightly more convex than left one. Ribs foldlike. Anterior auricles somewhat larger than posterior ones. Microsculpture consisting of very fine radiating riblets. Byssal notch insignificant, as well as ctenolium. Resilium triangular and small.
