Description:
Shell rather solid, slender fusiform with six or seven whorls, the last whorl comprising about two-thirds of the total shell height. Smooth, with no visible shell sculpture. Aperture elongate oval; outer lip thin, slightly flared abapically; inner lip thickened, with two strong folds on the columella, projecting into the aperture as well marked teeth.
Size:
Up to 6 mm.
Colour:
Glossy white.
Habitat:
Upper shore, in crevices and among seaweeds, particularly on sheltered estuarine shores.
Distribution:
Reported from scattered localities on the British coast (Distr. A. erosa).
