Description:
Body short, plump and broad with a distinct dorsal keel; both body ends truncated. Spicules arrow head-shaped, with open channel; no longer than 0.1 mm.

Size:
Up to 30 mm.

Colour:
Greyish-white to light pink.

Habitat:
On soft bottoms, 18-565 m deep.

Distribution:
Norwegian coast to Denmark (Distr. N. carinata). Also Mediterranean.
