Trivia arctica

Description (shell):
Shell like that of Trivia monacha but lacks pigment spots and usually smaller.

Size:
Up to 10 x 8 mm.

Colour:
Pale.

Animal:
Body as for Trivia monacha but with flattened, leaf-like penis in males (T. arctica-animal).

Habitat:
Mainly sublittoral, to 100 m in north of range, 1000 m in south; occasionally at LWST, associated with compound ascidians.

Distribution:
Distributed from Mediterranean to Norway, more common in north of range (Distr. T. arctica).
