Used to indicate papilliform or ridge-like thickenings within the outer lip; or the end of a fold on the columella which projects like a tooth into the throat(columellar tooth). Also projections from the hinge; see under cardinal teeth and lateral teeth.
Also parts of the radula. In cephalopods, teeth may be present in the club suckers.
